Several people have reported being stopped from going under the Eastern Span of the San Francisco Oakland Bay Bridge by the Coast Guard.
To assist boaters who wish to visit Clipper Cove on Treasure Island we recommend looking at the charts which are attached to the Local Notice to Mariners for District 11, Week 19. The Safety Zone extends 100 yards around the SFOBB from Yerba Buena Island to the “I” Pier through 31 December 2015. An Alternate Channel has been designated.
Follow the attached link to view these chartlets.

From MeeSun Boice,
Baja Taco Bar, Sunday May 3, 1:00 PM
The Treasure Island Yacht Club’s foundation is its members. We are made up of young families, retired couples and singles. We also invite others who share our passion for all things water and those who want to be a part of a club that will embrace you for ‘who’ you are, to enjoy and participate.
Treasure Island Development Authority (TIDA), Treasure Island Community Development (TICD), and Treasure Island Enterprises (TIE) will share insight and update our membership on the impending development of Treasure Island.

2:30 pm – Appetizers: 7-layer dip, ceviche
3:00 pm – Baja Taco Bar

On April 18th, Coyote Point will cruise-in to TIYC for Pirate Burgers.
Currently, they’re at only 10 members, but their club is like ours – lots of last minute participation, so we could have nearly 20. With our own group, we may see 30 or more. Please help make this a memorable experience for Coyote Point. We will probably cruise to their club this year, so let’s put on the Pirate Ritz — AhRRRR!
As usual, I will purchase the grub on Saturday late morning, so if you want something special, please email me back.
Meanwhile, the menu will be:
- Doubloons with Rotted Grub Worms in Strained Curdled Milk (Potato Chips & Onion Dip)
- Crunchy Monkey Fingers, Crisp Green Daggers, Squishy Red Eyballs, etc. with Mermaid Goo (Veggie Plate/Dip)
- Steamed Bunny Poo in it’s own sauce – A landlubber’s favorite (Baked Beans)
- Chunky Cubes of Beach Tubers with Green and Yellow Bits (Potato Salad)
- …and the Main Coarse (sic) – Arrrr-PiraTe Burgggers
- followed by some form of dessert…which I will accept recommendations for.
People We Need at 4pm: one or two behind the bar, two to help with Pirate Burger prep and cooking two to setup/take down tables and chairs two to set out snacks and dinner on the buffet all of the above to help clean-up

Encinal Cruise-In – March 28th
Dinner with Friends!
Please join us at the club as we entertain our friends from Encinal Yacht Club. Every year about this time, we have the pleasure of a cruise-in from the Encinal, and it’s always loads of fun.
This year, they’ve chosen the last weekend of the month, and that means the Treasure Island Flea Market will be on the island, so why not spend a few hours walking through Building One, then help with dinner with TIYC. We’ll need a few folks to cook, more to set up and serve, and all hands to clean up afterwards.
Although it’s not fully settled, we expect to be preparing a Steak and Fish menu with all the extras for $20…and a $5 discount for TIYC members who help.
I’ve made an RSVP page:
So please click there, add your name, and if you’re volunteering to bring a dish (reimbursable), please enter your name in one of the pre-defined lines.
Any specific questions, please call or text: 510-589-7410 cell

Hi Everyone (again),
One week after the New Members Appreciation Dinner, we have my special day – Our celebration of St. Paddy’s Day on March 14th, with Shamrock Shenanigans. Perhaps a race, perhaps a cruise, but we’ll have food for sure. Can anyone guess what it will be?
Don’t be left out of this one. It’s a chance to get out on the water and come back to the club for a great meal for less money than you would spend if you did it yourself.
We’ll start somewhat early, so plan on being ready to roll out onto the water around 10am or so.
When was that again? March 14th: 10am cruise/race training/play on the water, dinner at 5:30.
Mark your calendars!
– Will Smith –
Hi Everyone, March 14th–come one come all–to the 164th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade starting at noon at 2nd & Market Sts. You can then have a wonderful Irish dinner at Treasure Island Yacht Club. IT’S A GREAT DAY FOR THE IRISH!!! Don & Cathy

Please mark your calendar for March 7th.
It’s both a house work-day and New Member Appreciation Dinner.
I’ve heard that the work day will be an easy one: a bit of Dinghy work, and Inventory of Everything.
Surely we’ll be discussing the big move slated for later this year.
For dinner, we’ll start a bit early, because everyone will be famished after a long day’s work.
Snacks and Cocktails at 4pm, Dinner at 5:30.
Menu will be prepared by our own world-famous Executive Chef, Parke Ulrich with the help of our Membership Chair and Rear Commodore MeeSun Boice, who both promise a fabulous Moroccan inspired feast.
We’ll include more info about the menu soon, but chicken, fish, and veggie choices are likely.
Cost is $20pp
Strict limit of 40 seats maximum, so please RSVP to me by clicking on this LINK or call 510-589-7410.
Even with the seat limit, if you have a prospective member or two, let us know, and we’ll make room.
