One Day Race Management Seminar at Encinal Yacht Club

The seminar will be held from 8:00am – 5:00 pm.

$40 seminar fee includes seminar materials plus pastries, coffee and juices in the morning and drinks throughout the day. Participants are responsible for their own lunch, however several choices from Encinal Yacht Club’s Bar Menu will be available to purchase on the seminar date.
Registration closes on Monday, February 1, 2016. Please contact the organizer for information about walk-in registration.

Women’s Sailing Convention 2/6/2016

TIYC will again have a contingent going to the Women’s Sailing Convention in Newport Beach, CA

The Date is Saturday, February 6, 2016.  9:30am – 4:30pm.

TIYC 50th Anniversary & Crab Feed, (POSTPONED)

The Treasure Island Yacht Club is proud to celebrate its 50th Anniversary on TI.
The celebration originally planned for January 30th in the Casa de la Vista has been POSTPONED.

The new date is February 27th.

Officer Training Seminar, 1/16/2016

TIYC will hold an Officer Training Seminar to familiarize the Bridge Officers with their duties and the running of the yacht club on Saturday January 16th from 10:00am to 4:00pm.

This session is intended for the Flag Officers but will also be open to the Directors and any members who are interested in knowing more about overall administration of our club, the governance documents, job descriptions, on the water activities, programs, etc. We will discuss planning of events as well as relationships and communication with both our members and other clubs.

Around the Islands, January 1, 2016

The first cruise of the year is scheduled for January 1, 2016.

The club will be open @9:30am..we will have coffee and bagels or croissants etc before sail around island.  The cruise is scheduled to depart at 11:30am.

TIYC NYE Party 12/31/2015

Treasure Island Yacht Club will hold our annual New Year’s Eve (NYE) Party from 6:00 to 9:00pm (When the Ball drops in Times Square, NY) or however long people want to stay.

There will be a New Year’s Eve Fireworks Display in San Francisco at midnight.  It is the best place to view the fireworks with the city in the background for those who stay on the island.

Jean Rieth, 12/13/2015

Jean Rieth (Veterans’ Day 1994) “The coat won’t stay buttoned, but the dog tags still fit.”

Jean Rieth passed away on Sunday, 13 December 2015 after a brief illness at the age of 94.  She was a long-time (and Lifetime) member of the club, Jean and her husband, Joe, berthed their CAL 20 “Gotcha” at the club and often cruised and raced on the bay with neighbor Joyce Pucci (Waters) Bowes.

Jean had been resident at the VA care facility in Menlo Park for the past eight years.

Memorial ceremonies will begin at 1 PM on Tuesday, 22 DEC 2015 at Chapel of the Highlands, 194 Millwood Drive, on El Camino Real in Millbrae. Interment at Cypress Lawn Cemetery, with military honors will follow thereafter.
